Pink Iceland's New Years celebration

You haven't lived until you've experienced Reykjavík on New Years Eve. Pretty much every single person in the city takes a box full of fireworks outside just before midnight blow the old year to bits and then parties till the break of dawn. There is nothing quite like it. There really isn't ​PINK NEW YEAR'S EVE IN REYKJAVIK If you want to make the most out of your New Year's Eve and celebrate it in style the Pink Iceland team will take care of you from early night until you've reached the dance floor (ETA 2AM). Thousands of people attend community bonfires scattered throughout the different neighborhoods in Reykjavík and we'll join one or two of them for a couple of hours. Then we head downtown for group dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner we drive to Hallgrímskirkja church and enjoy the fireworks. Let us get serious for a moment: The Hallgrímskirkja grounds at midnight is a truly exciting spectacle, but we'll have to be careful. Fireworks are exploding all over the place and sometimes on the ground. If fireworks in close proximity scare you this might not be the best place to be at midnight. If, however, they excite and delight you, as they do us, there is not better place to spend midnight in Iceland! After the fireworks, at about 12:30 we'll head to a traditional Icelandic New Years Eve houseparty with the Pink Iceland Team and their friends. You'll have access to a free 'make it yourself cocktail bar' as Pink Iceland guests. It's the perfect way to warm up for the dancefloor and get to know a few locals. Somewhere between 1:30 and 2 AM we'll head out to Kiki Queer Bar's New Years Eve Celebration. You'll be armed with a Pink Iceland Pass securing you free entry, queue jump and a free drink at the bar.
