Hotel Glymur

(1 Rating)
Northern Lights, Hot tubs, a fjord, and some champagne
There's a lot to love about the Gymur Resort in Iceland. Situated on the northern hand of the Hvalfjörður ("Whale Fjord"), this boutique hotel is a slice of heaven. You can get to Glymur from Reykjavik but aim for the total experience and drive around the fjord. The rooms are creative and well decorated, the restaurant exceptional, but the best experience is relaxing in the outdoor hot tubs while taking in the colorful Northern Lights show exploding in the sky above.

Stunning Hotel

Glymur is such an amazing spot. Between the glaciers, the land, and the Northern Lights, there is the most incredible energy that hovers above Hotel Glymur. Hansina is a remarkable hostess. Have a glass of wine, retire to the hot tubs, and watch the nightly light show above you before getting the perfect rest. We give the Glymur our highest recommendation!
