Reykjavik Pride

Hinsegin Dagar, or Queer Days, is the official name of Reykjavik's Pride festival, which usually takes place in the first weeks of August. It's a nearly weeklong Pride with multiple events taking place all over the city. Over 100,000 people attend Queer Days, making it the largest annual festival in Iceland. The highlight of Queer Days is the Parade. Taking place on the Saturday of Pride Week, the Pride Parade fills the city center streets with people clad in rainbow regalia and flags flying high.

The set-up for the parade is at Tækniskólinn next to Hallgrímskirkja church. The parade marches down Skólavörðustígur, Lækjargata, Fríkirkjuvegur and Sóleyjargata where the parade concludes by Hljómskálagarður. After the march Reykjavik Pride invites all to an outdoor concert in Hljómskálagarður.
